Was watching the dramatised version of Madame C.J, Walker on Netflix this morning , first self made millionaire black woman . I had read , long ago , that she had been selling a hair product for black women , and that a druggist friend of hers had analyzed the product and she began making her own version of it . She did develop beauty saloons and even expanded those to a kind of shopping mall for blacks , adding laundromats , etc. And I had read that her daughter blew it all away .
