I get both frustrated and aggravated when people make excuses about why they can't work out.

I agree that home calisthenics are sufficient for exercising. Only equipment I have is just two high back chairs for dips, doorway pull-up bar, and a roman chair. However, it does get lonely. I’ve considered joining a CrossFit Gym just to meet people and take my fitness to the next level. I’m a recent agnostic and my friends are from my church. Tired of talking about religion. Just wanna work out, have fun, and and enjoy life.

Food has become the favored substance of abuse. It seems more are getting off of alcohol, opiates, and even Cannabis...in favor of eating oneself in to a stupor. Restaurants have grown. Food ads have grown. Food options have grown...and the resulting obesity is epidemic and getting worse -fast.

I don't use a gym at all.. Calisthenics at home and a long run. Exercise machine aren't necessary to stay fit and strong. ☺

Agreed, and good for you. Many people need someplace to go as they don't have your level of self-motivation, you are exceptional. Group classes are especially good for motivation.

Mine was closed but recently re-opened for outdoor classes. I missed it and am glad to be back. I hope yours finds a way to reopen soon.
