Anyone have recommendations on exercises that are easy on the wrists? I've been having some pain & want to keep up my routine while giving them a break.
I alternate between cardio & resistance days - been doing more core to avoid excessive wrist extension.
Plus any comments on how you've modified your program for an injury or pain would be most interesting as well!

I would recommend seeing a decent physical therapist; especially one familiar with lifting. A good chiropractor might help too.

@Decieven One thing I try to do is no or little resistance ROM exercises for my joints before lifting. Seems to help me.

Do you wear gloves? I have some that strap tightly on the wrists and seem to help me since I have arthritis in my hands, knees, hips and ankles. I also warm up at least 10 minutes before lifting or exercising.

You can do chest and back work with bands that don't require your wrists...just put the band on your forearms for resistance...plenty of videos out there for any type of exercises when you have an injury...

except for leg and ab exercises, you need hands and wrists. just be cautious.

machines are probably better than free weights. easier to control.

Posted by SilviaParkI had my first triathlon in Sunday, an indoor USATri60. Lots of room for improvement, but I'm just a beginner swimmer, and haven't taken my bike on the road yet :)
