Impossible. If you lined up people from Egypt back to Israel you would have an unbroken line of all those who were lost in the desert. For that story to have been true you would have much, much fewer people.

What do you expect from mythology. Can't find any solid evidence for Zeus, Jupiter, Athena, Thor or Oden either.
