I think I am on the JWs do no knock list after I volunteered to discuss the bible with them at the door. Of course, I “cherry picked” what I wanted to discuss and that caused them to walk away. Seems that it’s ok to have incest exist in the biblical texts, but it’s not ok to talk about it. They have not been back to my door, yet they continue to walk the neighbourhood. 🤷🏼♂️😎

When I was growing up in the 1960-1970's I thought it was weird that people in my neighborhood had colored thumb tacks stuck into their door frames. As an adult I learned that JW's stuck those thumbtacks into people's door frames as a color code as to how friendly the residents were to their message.

I haven't seen colored thumb tacks stuck in people's door frames for quite a while, which makes me wonder what they do now to let their members know who is or is not friendly to their message... If anyone knows please reply to make the rest of aware.

My friend Annette was repeatedly troubled by those Mormons....until the day they rang the bell again and we both opened the door....arms around one another, my head on her shoulder. They never came back.

Yeah, they tend to avoid gay people too...

I was born into the Mormon church, and my brother in law thought it was really funny to make sure the church always had my latest address, and so they kept coming to my door trying to get me to come back... until I just told them I was gay. Then the only time I heard from them again was when my parents intervened as they wanted me to request my name be removed from the church records, which was perfectly fine with me.

A part of me thought about framing my baptismal certificate together with my excommunication letter in the same frame, but I decided i didn't want to deal with the conversations that it would start with my friends, most of whom are not aware I was born into a Mormon family.

@snytiger6 Hmmm...maybe you could just fly a ''rainbow'' flag? Makes it so much easier! Damned bigots!
