Beautiful!

My parents had an Olive tree in their front yard. We picked and cured olives one year. They tasted like black olives but were mushy. I don't know if we did something wrong or if that's how they were supposed to turn out. They weren't worth doing a second time - not from my perspective anyway.

The tree was beautiful, though. Very gnarled short trunk with 3 or 4 major branches coming off it.

So...green olives are a separate breed? Or are they simply unripened black olives?

There are several varieties of olive trees. More than ten. This one is grown in someones front garden.

Someone planted an olive grove here in Texas , and it was open for business until the owner died of the corona virus . Closed now .

Wow! I don't think I have ever seen an olive tree.
