Or permit them to grow where they appear & give them priority & deference. Nature hates straight lines. That is a man made concept. Even light bends.

When I had my home I had three milk weed bushes in the backyard and four in the front yard and they were regularly covered with butterflies and then the little worms. I loved watching them grow and then turn into butterflies. I sure miss that.

I did passion vine, it feeds the year round butterflies that live here. My soil doesn't support milkweed. But I whole heartedly agree, plant for the butterflies. Coriander, fennel, and dill also are good

I always manage to kill coriander.

@FrayedBear same with me and milkweed. I just broadcast the coriander, dill and fennel in areas that I don't mow. If they grow, great, if they don't, I'll reseed. I buy the seeds in bulk.

@glennlab Living in a dry area I never manage to keep the water up.

@glennlab Can you graft them to cacti?
