I finally did it. I bought my own little off grid plot of land in Northern Arizona. And in just the first three weeks, I've built a greenhouse (with hanging herb center and four 4' x 8' raised beds) and started the perimeter fence for my 80' x 80' garden, put up the frame for a 32' x 16' lounge-shower-kitchen-shed complex (calling it The Owl's Foot Cafe), filled 2,000 gallons of rain water totes, and planted grapes, apple and plum trees. I also have tomatoes and peppers planted. The drive shots were taken the second day, so I have to update the pics if anyone is interested in seeing the progress.
Today I'll starting the germination trays for the rest of the veggies and herbs, and getting the flowers planted.
In the future, I'd like to have a full orchard with nectarines, peaches and cherries as well. Oh, and bees. I want bees!
I just joined this group. So I'm looking forward to lots of cool ideas and advice.
Welcome and congratulations on taking the leap! Looking forward to updates on your progress.
