How do you handle the pain that comes from knowing you’ll never see certain family members again? When I left I had the rare option to move states.my grandparents wouldn’t even say goodbye, the most I got was a “I hope you come to your Senses” from my grandpa.they Practically raised me and I know they won’t live much longer.
It is painful to lose family and friends (I lost my family when I left Mormonism). But life goes on, and if we look for the good things in life, we will live happily. I am happier now than I ever was as a Moron (oops, Mormon). I have new friends and a new spouse. All is well. Plus, I'm grateful to be free from religious scams.
I'm so sorry. I truly understand. I'm not close to any of my family. It can get real lonely when find out its a cult and they're holding your family mentally hostage. The truth will set you free but you'll find yourself leaving alot of loved ones behind cause they're not going to want to wake up.
