So, now for a lighter experience. When I was a baptized witness (I was baptized at 13 and disfellowshipped at 16). My reasons for being baptized in the first place was because we were never allowed to do anything with others (the whole "worldly association" thing)...but not even with WITNESS children! My (wrong) motives for being baptized was in the "hopes" that I would be able to hang out with other witness kids at skate centers, bowling, w/e...well, that was wrong. So I ended up being disfellowshipped by choice because I wasn't willing to put in all the work it took being baptized if I wasn't even going to be able to hang out with other witness kids.

But I digress, so while I was baptized I was used by the congregation as a "mic boy"....one of those people who carries the microphone up and down the isles so that people could speak into them to be heard. So, if you know anything about how the kingdom halls are laid out, you know they usually have the "contribution box" (like a tithing box, but not required) in the back of the hall. Well, this box had a slit in it big enough that I could fit my hands into it. smile002.gif....so, during prayers, guess where my hands were? smile009.gif

Am I proud of it? Not really...but it was payback in a way and the money went to a good cause (me). Being a mic boy was a lot of fun!
