It unfathomable cruelty from kids like that girl. Their home life must be horrendously vile..

The bully should be facing criminal assault charges. Not just kicked out of the school.

I look around me and think, is it really that hard to just be a decent human being? And sadly, I keep getting the answer of "yes". We have built such a sad society, where people spend more time putting others down for being different, that understanding that we are really all the same.

It's at times like this I am so proud of the people in my country......... but it is a case of here we go again and reminds me of how I am sick and tired of having that "I have be careful where I go because I am trans" conversation with people, most of whom are like "but that's silly people should just let you be" and having agree it would be wonderful if people did that.......but they don't.

At the age of 15. FFS.

On the plus side the student who did it had been removed from the school so she won't have to deal with her again. (The teacher who stopped the attack feels if the attack wasn't stopped she might be dead - the kid was stomping on her temple).

The school is going to do more education around LGBT issues. (And they seem like they already were doing ok as they were providing her a dressing area of her own for Psy Ed - which seems reasonable? As she probably hasn't transitioned).

But gees world? Can't we do better than this?

This is disgusting! And I guarantee the perpetrator was a religious bigot! Until we get rid of the stupid idea of sky daddies we are never going to be able to rid ourselves of this sort of attack. I do hope the young girl recovers completely, however, I fear the emotional and psychological scars will remain forever.

Yikes. I hope she is ok.

And if she had fought back and won, she would have been accused of beating up a girl... There really is no winning in those sort of situations.
