It's a sad testamony about America when SCOTUS green lights disbanded safe/sane gun laws while educators are literally begging for help to stop the violence.
In-part:
Jerry Jordan, the president of the Philadelphia Federation of Teachers, condemned the "devastation of gun violence" that "continues to traumatize communities" and called for "real, systemic change" to the commonwealth's gun laws.
He said: "It should be unfathomable that outside of one of our schools, as an event was letting out, six people - including a toddler and four teens - were shot.
"But of course, it is anything but unfathomable. It should horrify us all, but it should shock none of us.
What is really pathetic is what is on the boob tube most of the programs are showing gun violence.
yes, the society has grown up with movies, tv and video games where the solution is always violence.
True, but that stuff doesn't affect everyone though. I grew up around guns and watched what would have been considered violent television shows and movies, and in my teens often played first-person shooter video games, and yet I didn't turn out violent. So there are exceptions.
