I had to leave the conservative atheist group in order to keep the peace. For the record I don't block anything or anyone because some members like to address people who come here with different views. If somebody posts something you don't agree with, move past it, it's just words on a screen. I didn't learn anything to help the cause while I was over there, but it made me a better person. I learned to listen to people's views that were opposite of mine and not ridicule them for it, and to present my views in the least offensive way so people can hear what I'm saying and not be pissed off about the way I said it(apparently I still have a little work to do on the second one)
Mike some people have closed minds, Nothing you can do except keep your sanity
Without inquiry about details, not needed, you are you and your circumstances but... Never Let a Worm Dictate you what Bothers You.
We and they are speaking from some experience and ideas. A lot of stuff comes from one's upbringing. I was raised in a very freerange family so a lot of my ideas are from experiences and learning. Unfortunately, just like religious indoctrination these "conservative" (read Libertarian) atheists still cling to ideology first then question second. I have been around them and their take on life I find intractable. I would not be able to not question over and over until they kicked me out. Good you finally saw your limit.
I completely understand and a agree
Your statement makes you a very good role model for everyone on both sides. Thank you for this posting. You have the right attitude.
I'm just a guy trying to do the right thing, and not always knowing what that is exactly.
@MikeFlora none of us do because the bar keeps getting moved
Hate to see you go. Most on here are liberal. If you are talking about me, I'm sorry for you feeling that way, but not for defending certain gun rights.
I don't think there's a lot of people on gun control that want to ban guns completely. I do feel that we want to tighten up loopholes and hold gun owners responsible for their actions. If that's not middle ground it's a lost cause completely
you're welcome to visit whenever you want.
