We need to fight complacency, for the loss of even one life to gun violence is a tragedy

This is not going to stop and may increase. The NRA wants to wear us down and puts a spin on every shooting to make it seem there are not enough guns in our society. I just received a mailing for a contribution for a state bill I-1639 (raising the minimum age to 21 for gun purchases). I will donate. A previous bill I also donated to passed (despite the NRA's attempt to repeal it) took guns away from people involved in a domestic violence dispute. This is what it will take, slow point by point, state by state.

What can I say? l live a few miles from Annapolis. With a shotgun aim not that needed, you simply Blast. And still some called it a "sport"!

I am beyond saddened that this continues but yet we hear that it isn't the fault of guns, it's people. So doesn't that say certain people shouldn't have guns. And the shooter was not from any of the banned countries or Mexico. He is another white terrorist. Glad to hear fake president sent thoughts and prayers

Sad that we hear about things like this almost every week. We need to be more like most Western European Countries, and have it required that you go through a mental exam. It will take years to get firearms from the "bad hombres". But It's a step in the right direction. This time it wasn't the dreaded AR-15, SKS, or AK47. It was a shotgun. That is more effective in short range. It was one of the most feared short-range weapons in both world wars.
