Destination Docklands was a light and electronic music show in London’s docklands which was held over two nights in October 1988, by French electronic musician and composer Jean-Michel Jarre. The weather was horrendously wet, and you will hear Jean-Michel say at the beginning of this video which is part 2 of 7...”Frogs like rain!”. Referring of course rather self deprecatingly to the slang British term we use for the French!!
I have two albums of Jean-Michel Jarre, but I never heard this style of music!
Good....I like to bring you something new.
Wonderful acid (LSD) music. Sorry folks but since I did my deep adventures into acid over 40 years ago I really could not care less if you disapprove. I was playing solo keyboard music on stage about 18 years ago (all my own improvisations and compositions) when a French djembe enthusiast expert skier friend insisted that I listen to J M Jarre and Oxygene as he wanted me to include my version of it in my performances. So I did and then found my wife had had a cassette of it for many years. I was hoping that this set would include Oxygene. Indeed that is the second half and to me it is the original version. He did several others.
I have posted different parts of Oxygene in the past and will do so again at some time I’m sure.
