The Horslips were one of the best Celtic rock bands of the 70s & 80s. Founding member Barry Devlin was born about 1 mile from where I live, in Ardboe, Co. Tyrone. They still perform intermittently to this day. Here is a live performance of King Of The Fairies from the roof of The Bank Of Ireland building in Baggot Street, Dublin in 1973.

His father owned a local pub...and his sister is the well known author and journalist Polly Devlin.
I did have a Horslips Cd but was not nearly as keen on them as several other groups such as Altan , Clannad, Dervish and Patrick Street.
