I can’t stay away from Italy for very long...so here we’re are at the San Remo Song Festival in 1995 and that year’s winner Gianluca Grignane with Destinazione Paradiso (Destination Paradise). My own favourite Italian singer Laura Pausini then went on to record it and turned it into an international hit . I’m including a live version of her singing it too.

Crazily it reminded me of a political rally. I would never attend a concert like this but then if I was 20 and Italian again ....
