In 1986 Norway hosted the Eurovision Song Contest in Bergen, having won it the previous year. This was the interval act which was sung by Sissel Kyrkjebo, who herself is from Bergen....flautist is Egil Monn-Iversen, and guess what the medley of songs is called - Bergenssangen or Bergensong! Btw the penguins were from Bergen Zoo because we all know they are not native to Northern hemisphere

I couldn't help but laugh at the pied piper bit, then when the kids were singing on the boat, it reminded me of a national lampoon movie were Chevy Chase was dancing and didn't know the moves.
But the guy mimicking the penguin took the cake,I bust out laughing and I'm still giggling about it now.
Over all I found it entertaining and made me wish I could see all those neat places overseas

Yes...Norway in particular is very much worth visiting.

The pied piper of Bergen. Oh so staged. Too staged, too film production for me. Even the music.

It was meant to be. It was expected to be a marketing opportunity for tourism in Norway...Bergen in particular. All Eurovision Song Contest hosts try to sell their country to the approx 180 million viewers it draws in.
