Today we’re going back to 2007 to the Amnesty International campaign to save Darfur. Darfur was a region fighting for autonomy from Sudan, where the Arab majority and government were ethnically cleansing the non-Arab Black minority. A war had raged since 2003. Amnesty International in conjunction with Yoko Ono put out the album Instant Karma to raise funds for the campaign. International artists from around the world were invited to cover a John Lennon song for the album...this was #9 Dream, the contribution from Norwegian band a-ha.
