We hardly ever cover Germany in this World Music group, strange really when many of the top classical composers were either German or Austrian. I’m going to remedy that today in a small way by posting music by Franz Schubert, the king of German “lieder” set to the words of poetry written by Goethe, and performed by Daniel Norman (tenor) and Sholto Kinnoch (piano). This video was created by Oxford Lieder as part of their 2014 “Schubert Project”. - Erikonig.
