Today Iām posting a novel video of an interview (in Norwegian) and an introduction to Norwegian audiences of the then relatively unknown band a-ha. This was in 1984, a year before they became an international sensation when their song Take On Me shot them to fame after it went to #1 in 37 countries. This is the first time TOM was ever heard on TV anywhere, and is a prototype version, or forerunner, of the song which became the 1985 hit for them.
I have to laugh at the reference the interviewer made about them being boys, not men...I somehow think that something got lost in the translation from Norwegian to English. Morten seemed to agree that they were boys not men ...and then proceeded to demonstrate in his remarkably well developed body that he was most definitely a man not a boy! Incidentally he was 25 at this time and the other two 23 and 22 respectively! Some boys!!
