It’s the middle of the night and for once I’m having difficulty getting to sleep…so I’ve decided to make this post for @RogerBenham who asked me yesterday what it was that made me so besotted with Morten Harket…who was 62 yesterday…well everyone knows he is extremely handsome, but that’s only part of it. His voice just has a sublime quality, it has such an effect when I hear it, it gets inside me and grabs hold of my heart….just listen to this….
…oh and Magne who wrote this song comes a close second in looks and writes wonderful music …but he doesn’t sing like Morten…nobody does!

The song ... well sorry it's a bit too soupy for my taste but you know that. The scenery was lovely. So much of it is so like our west coast. By the way my local mountain got its first dusting of snow last night. Above tree line from what I could see. Six weeks of the snow up there gradually thickening and dropping before we join it. I'm now into ligting quick fires morning and night. Highs up to +15 (59 F) are as good as it gets now. Frosts not yet.

Wow…snow already! You were having abnormally high temperatures only about a month ago! Anyway…glad you’re coming round to understanding my love of my favourite Norwegians…MH in particular! The Pet Shop Boys and a-ha are close friends…I like PSB very much but Neil Tennant’s voice is really nothing like Morten’s who’s voice spans almost 5 octaves and has won Morten the title of Europe’s best male singer several times.
