As I’ve just mentioned in my other post in the Music Fans group…I’ve spent the day visiting The Planetarium and Observatory in Armagh, founded in 1789 it’s the oldest in the British Isles. It was fascinating learning more about the solar system and filling in lots of gaps in my knowledge. Neil is over visiting for the weekend and we bought some great books and posters for him to take back to my grandsons
Anyway, in keeping with my mood I thought I’d post something from Gustav Holst’s Planet Suite and my favourite is Jupiter, Bringer of Jollity - performed by Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra.

Ah the gas giant. Jupiter was the same as Zeus. Zeus became top god by murdering his father. I guess around the world we've had several top people who got there by the same means. Holst's Jupiter is not the angry fellow Zeus was.
