Men of Harlech is indeed a very stirring Welsh song and Ivor Emmanuel who played the part of Private Owen was a very fine and well known singer on British TV before we saw him in the role.

I always liked the strained friendship between the rascal Hook and the Sergeant Major.

That is one intense movie, with great battle scenes! Welsh regiments were famous for their choirs. I like the music used by both sides, and some of the Zulu songs are powerful.
