A lively piece. Interesting information about Offenbach (Marionville). It would have been nice to see some of the can can women in action. This is from the famous Folies Bergere. I still remember my first visit to this establishment as a young man in his early twenties. Despite the fact that the women were all bare breasted there was a sense of class and refinement in the acts.

Prolific composer born in Cologne in Germany in 1819 but moved as a young man to Paris where he studied at the Conservatoire and later became a naturalised French citizen.
