I found her voice really odd! I never have listened to Country Music stations but mostly because I can't stand their adverts and so repetitive chatter "Hart New Country", " The best country music". But then I do not listen to Smithers radio because of the ads.
However, I was a big Cliff Richard fan in the early sixties when none of us knew that he was singing entirely country music. I have heard that the Irish, maybe only the proper ones, love country music.
@rogerbenham They love American country music and do cover versions with atrocious fake US accents!….horrendous!
@Marionville Canadian country singers try to sound like American. I think that they all want to twang every word and add syllables such as 4 in the word school.
@rogerbenham That sounds much the same as the Irish do ! I call it mangling the words!
