Thanks for posting….if you care to look back to previous posts in this group I have posted information on the Sami people and their music. I am interested in the history, ethnicities and customs of the entire Scandinavian region. Morten Harket, lead singer in the Norwegian band a-ha and Renee Zelwegger the US actress both have Sami ancestry, quite recognisable in their eye structure.

I have a friend whose wife was "a typical Georgian" with no idea of her ancestry. I told him his wife looked very Sámi...I then had to explain that there are far more ethnicities than just Black, Brown, Red, Yellow, and White. I told him she should get a genetic analysis done. They did and she was Norwegian, Sámi, and German.
