With St. Patrick's Day approaching we do need a wee bit o' Irish music.
Paddy and the Rats is a Irish Punk band from Hungary.
A lively tune, and would be fun to dance to.
Alas and alack am I to be doomed to like a punk band. Their aggression is all there but Ithe music that they play flows with my blood.
They came into my craft stall at a music festival where I was selling my chocolate truffles. I had 8 chairs and two classical guitars. they asked if they could try one. I jammed along. Another fetched a guitar. There were 5 of them. The girl singer was as cute as a button. Two guitarists were really pretty good. They ate my truffles and hung around for 2 or 3 hours.

@rogerbenham Hmmm, seems I need to find if they have any published music that I can add to my collection.
@Reignmond I chose stuff more like what we played. They are a Punk Band. I watched their set and much preferred what we'd done together.
@rogerbenham I found them on YouTube. Really liked this one...
@rogerbenham Back in the late 1970s, I and a couple friends were doing alittle underage drinking at a corner bar on Lake Ave in Rochester, NY on a Wednsday night after work. In walks a few funny talking guys with heavy Irish accents. Said they had been on a concert tour all over the US and asked if they could play a few tunes for a few beers. The owner said sure and sat them up in a corner and let them go at it. Turned out they were damn good! No one in the bar had heard of them before, said they called themselves The Irish Rovers.
@Reignmond Too violent for me!
Info about Paddy and the Rats...
Wow…a Hungarian Irish punk band wearing Scottish tartan kilts……that’s what I call getting cultures mixed up. Good rousing tune though. Entertaining…but about as Irish as a theme pub in the USA!
Well, three of the blokes are Scottish, and 2 are Irish.
@Reignmond Then they’re certainly a Celtic group…no doubting that!
