Because it’s Easter Sunday…I’m posting my favourite Easter piece of music, which is something I have sung or listened to countless times over the years….Sheep May Safely Graze. - Johann Sebastian Bach. I’ve chosen this version sung by The Women’s Chorale of Wheaton Conservatory in Illinois because a) it’s an excellent rendition by an all female choir and b) because they thought of an ingenious way to socially distance during the recent pandemic, by intelligently utilising the space available in the auditorium. No space for an audience of course, but it was perfect for recording purposes.
Beautiful voices!
Yes…really lovely
.
One of my favourite pieces, the one I sang at my eldest brother's 21st, when the spinet collapsed half way through performance, I was left singing with a viol da gamba. My peak voice at 14 3/4.
Nice performance but the piano rather too loud.
What, no audience?
No…it was to record it and then post online during Covid lockdown. Audiences and crowds in great numbers weren’t allowed.
