The 1988 the Eurovision Song Contest was held in Dublin after Ireland were the winners in the previous year. The Swiss entry was Ne Partez Pas Sans Moi - and it won. It was not sung by a Swiss singer, but by a (then) unknown French Canadian singer, but obviously a rising star in the making - Celine Dion.

….Translated into English the song title means Don’t Leave Without Me.

Love her, but she looks awful these days.

Yes…it’s really quite sad.

Wow she has changed so much from 1988! Still, she has that wonderful voice.

I think she looks very unwell in recent photos.

@Marionville I do too Marje. She is dangerously thin and looks so frail. This song you posted of her in 1988 is the first I’ve ever seen her look a healthy weight, and she is very slender in this one!

@Redheadedgammy Yes…I agree.

Interestingly I'd not recognise Celine in this. Poor woman born on the same day of year as I and Eric Clapton and of course dear Vincent.
She sang well. I have largely ignored her.

I saw a recent photograph of her and she looked like she’d been starving herself….really gaunt and Ill looking.

@Marionville She seemed fall apart after Rene died.
