I’ve just posted one of my favourite Rolling Stones songs in Classic Rock group….and now I’m posting a cover version from an unlikely source. The song is Wild Horses and the unlikely cover is by Scottish singer and late to be discovered Britain’s Got Talent finalist Susan Boyle, who shocked judges and viewing public alike with her amazing rendition of - I Dreamed A Dream from Les Miserables in 2009, because her unlikely outward appearance belied her beautiful singing voice. The old adage “Never judge a book by its cover” was never more apt!

….it’s high praise from me but I must admit I like Susan’s cover just as much as the original by The Stones!

You are so right about Susan Boyle. Indeed her looks belied her fantastic voice and singing ability. That f,ing fellow and even the woman judge really showed their ingrained bias there.

Lovely horse photos. Susan is looking pretty healthy.

I'd love to hear a version by that lovely Italian woman, Laura Paucini(Sp?).

Susan made it into an entirely different song. I like it.

Yes….I agree. I don’t think Laura has sung this song….at least she’s not recorded it If she has. She does sing and record in Spanish as well as English and her native Italian of course.

I remember watching that program when Susan first sang. The look on the faces of the judges was priceless! Yes, we should never judge a book or person by their outward appearance. Susan is a wonderfully gifted singer.

She certainly is.
