I love the sound of a Caribbean Steel Drum band …and here’s one of the best…the Trinidad & Tobago Military Steel Marching Band (the only one in the world), performing at the Edinburgh Military Tattoo at Edinburgh Castle in 2014….

Bit of a bloody mess if you are asking me.No tunes discernible. Just a mass of noise.
Pity. I remember being at Lords Cricket Ground when the West Indies were playing and a wonderful steel drum band, to the shock of the toffee nosed, joyously played to supporters dancing.
Was it the recording or the echoes just made a muddle of sound above?

I could make different tunes out…maybe there are just too many of them playing the steel drums for your liking…and of course the steel band At Lords is static not a marching band.
@Marionville I think there most likely were too many drums playing at once plus reverberation off stone walls.
I remember being thrilled once as a child when I saw some in Great Missenden, my nearby village.
Wow, I love the steel drum, too, and I think they're the most joyful marching band I've ever heard.
