Today I’m being unashamedly nostalgic and posting one of my favourite Scottish songs, one which my mother used to sing at home when she was doing chores… “Ca’ the Yowes”…the words were written by our national bard Rabbie Burns. In English it would be translated as “Call the Ewes”… here it’s sung by Scottish singer/songwriter Dougie MacLean.

Way more discernible in this version than in the much older version sung by the Tannahill Weavers, though of course Dougie may have sung that one as well. Pity about lack of focus in some photos. Were the cliffs at Noss Head? Different angle from my photos if they were. I think I recognised Durness.

Gorgeous scenery! Love the song Marje. I can understand why Queen Elizabeth loved being there so often. I've read that Edinburgh is the most beautiful city in Scotland. I hope to see it someday. 😍
