I had never heard of this song or the movie it came from, RRR, until I read that it had won an Oscar. The movie has quite a few musical numbers in it from what I've read, so it sounds like a musical to me.
@RhondaShotwell And they are often way overplayed.
The dancing is extraordinary but the song is ordinary.

Yes…I’d already had preview of the this song on TV a few days ago….I’m not sure if I agree it deserved to win though!

I'm not sure either, but then I don't pay any attention to these things. I hadn't heard of this song, or the movie until just a little while ago.
