This was the first American song I learned by heart. I used to swing on the wooden swing my father installed in the door opening of the peat shed, I think I was five years old, just sounded out the words. Thank you, American Forces Network for playing all these songs. We were in the Britsh Occupied Zone, but close to Bremerhafen where American troups landed.
