On this day …16th May 1845, French classical composer Gabriel Faure’ was born. He is amongst my favourite composers and the Pie Jesu from his Requiem is quite divine…however I’m posting his Pavane in F sharp, opus 50 which I think is such a beautiful and stately piece of music, conveying elegance and nobility in its slow progression….perfomed here by The Philadelphia Orchestra, and accompanied by the paintings of Claude Monet….

Love Claude Monet's paintings. Dreamy, lovely music. Since I play flute, I love this music.

Thank you!

I like to hear from satisfied customers like you…it makes my efforts all worthwhile!
