Love his music, & am totally addicted. His Kazakh songs are terrific, & his voice suits the Chinese songs really well.

I agree. not sure what to call this sort of music. It verges on Chinese Slop but some might think I'm saying that I do not like it. The 3rd was not to my taste but the 1st was lovely.

Dudarai is an old Kazakh folk song that he updated.
The first one with the female singer, tan weiwei is really lovely!! All the videos are so pleasant. Do you know what that string instrument is called that he played in the last video? Thanks for sharing Patricia!!

I tried to figure this out, and I got to a similar instrument, Bandu.
They sure know how to stage events. Lots of work in the staging.
That's an ancient Kazakh instrument called the Dombra, & apparently every child knows how to play it as all households have one. It has 2 strings.
