The song was written by Pal Waaktaar of a-ha and he was really quite young at the time. I don’t think anyone else but Morten Harket with his 4+ octave range could have sung it, as it was actually written for his voice. But if you don’t like it and prefer the instrumental version I have to accept that as fact…
