I’ve recently discovered the music of Finnish composer Antti Martikainen…which he self describes as a mix of ethnic, folk and traditional music made epic with a touch of metal! His main inspiration would appear to be Norse and Celltic mythology…this one titled The King Of The Highlands - from his 2O14 album Last Of The Chronicles

Very reminiscent of Clannadonia.

Sort of I suppose…but they don’t compose music, they perform music already quite well known.

@Marionville its my 3am & I can't remember music written for a Scandinavian movie that I posted a year or two ago. It had similar undertones.
The ethnic- folk influence on his composition is probably where I'm hearing the association.

Not my taste. Just noisy drumming.

@rogerbenham barbaric berserking Scots still macho at their ages with naked torsos!
