I’m sure they are an acquired taste....but to the uninitiated ear it sounds like a cacophony!

Shouldn't that read "uninitiated"?

Just like their call to prayer and their prayers. ???????

@FrayedBear Yes...I thought that was what I typed,

@Marionville The auto corrects change things behind your back. It is part of the process to get you to pay for a copy of your correcting program.

@FrayedBear Did the autocorrect change your spelling of programme from English to American?

@Marionville It can do. If you are using your computer editing program the language can be set to the UK rather than US English. Here I have the further option of Australian.

@Marionville I may be wrong but I thought in UK English it is "programme" on the radio, "program" on computers/telephones.

@FrayedBear No it is never program under any circumstances in the U.K.!

@Marionville it must be an Australian affectation that I have acquired!

@Marionville "Program" is accepted usage in the UK when referring to what a programmer does!

It's not music to sit and listen to, it's for dancing yourself into a trance to, a relentless wall of sound and rhythm. The dancing reminded me of some of the more outlandish costumes worn for folkloric dances in parts of Britain, and I just remembered that the 'morris' in morris dancing was originally 'Moorish', i.e. from Morocco!
