Wonderful stuff! I too liked Bebo & Cigala best of the three. So subtle yet somehow raw.

Nothing like a Live Performance. Gitano Style. None of the three versions are close to the original of the 1930's I believe. Legendary Cuban Pianist Bevo Valdes was 84 at that performance.

Is the Spanish Gypsy Element. The song was written in the Spanish Gypsy Lingo of the 1930's. Different from other countries and cultures... The Spaniard Gypsy became Great World Class Entertainers and having Gypsy Blood became a badge of honor for a Spaniard Entertainer. Musicians, Singers, Dancers. The song is a Copla.
