Roberto Rohena the Great Bongocero and Band leader from Puerto Rico. At Congas Tito Calderon a friend since High School and later on College Days... and at the Piano Carlos Rodriguez we met in College days and we both were BF of the same girl... I had already dropped her or her drop me when he came to the college but he did asked me before dating her if it was alright with me... it is a Puerto Rican thing. If you ain't Rican you may not understand. He became a Lawyer. Tito became a Teacher. I joined the Navy and had a Blast visiting over 27 countries in 4 Continents and chasing a lot of Tail in Foreign Land. No Regret not finishing College. I worked as a Commercial Artist before joining the Navy. Now I am Retired and loving it.

I will always will recall Roberto Rohena buying me a drink in the pool bar of the Darlington Tower before a performance in the Miramar Center because I was talking to his piano player Carlos. I grew up in the streets... where the Party was... I was there. Salsa, Jazz, Rock, Disco... I was there... where ever women were... I was there. I had different sets of friends... Rockers, Jocks, Believers of the Revolution, Disco Dancers, Salsa Dancers, Hippies, Druggies, Rich, Poor, Gringo Bikers... I saved the life of an American Biker while I was a Senior in High School. My Buddy and H.S. Wingman Vitin and me. Saved him of a Heroin Over Dose. Skills you learn. I lost a lot of friends to Vices... I always said... I am too Lazy to be controlled by a Vice... I just can not be controlled to live to feed a "habit". I go months without touching alcohol... I don't even smoke Maryjane, my kids ask me to get a card and now that is Legal... I am not interested. My only habit is being in love with beautiful women and some women in my life had said that will eventually will get me Killed... so I had lived long enough to meet my fate with a smiling face. I had done a lot of Crazy Things in my life... lived to a life of fun and of taking chances and even risking my life and I follow my gut feelings because had lead me here. No complaints or regrets. Looking forward to return to Puerto Rico to see how many of my teenager friends had survived like me this crazy trip called Life. Oh do I got stories for them... and them stories for me!!!
