The post featuring Peter Gabriel brought to mind for me his emotional rendering of his song Biko, which honors South African Stephen Biko who died in police custody and became a symbol of the resistance to Apartheid. Of course the song was banned by the oppressive regime, and I could only experience it after I had left and was living in the U.S. I find it deeply moving, always.

Yes...I remember this one and the protests here in the U.K. over his death. The AAM (Anti Apartheid Movement) had a strong following in the UK.
