I had a French 45rpm with 4 songs, from which "Retiens la Nuit" was the best (and I posted sometime ago). Thank you for the post, although it saddened me to learn through Dede18 that he passed away in 2017...

Yes,.it was sad news. We heard quite a bit about his music here in the UK...it was played on radio in the 60s & 70s.

@Marionville Yes! Wow! huge crowd. Huge stage. Not sure if I could ever sing a song with so much repetition of words and I'm not that fond of songs dependent on drums and chords. Fussy, aren't I?
