I Come From The Other Side. - I find this song very beautiful, it’s by Mari Boine who is a member of the Sami people and she lives in the north of Norway. The Sami are an indigenous people who are spread across all the Scandinavian countries and part of northern Russia and who have their own language and traditions. Historically they were nomadic people who herded reindeer and fished and lived close to nature, and their music reflects this in its lyrics. They have their own language which belongs to the Uralic family of languages, although there are many different variants across the many Sami regions.
