Out Of Blue Comes Green - a-ha symphonic cover. The universal nature of music demonstrated perfectly....Composer Norwegian; orchestration Brazilian; video footage from Norway & Northern Ireland, including Giants Causeway and some scenes from close to where I live. I am posting the original a-ha version with vocals for you to compare and contrast...it also has subtitled lyrics translated into Portuguese!
I am really quite keen on music from different genres crossing over...pop & rock music played by classical musicians and orchestras...and classical pieces from the old masters given the rock treatment too. I particularly like modern popular songs transformed into symphonic or orchestral pieces..minus the vocals. It can change the whole feel of a piece of music, making sound completely new and different to the original.
I like what you said... but how I see classic music I like when pop and rock and blues and jazz musicians try their craft in the classics. I did a piece many years ago of a classical funeral march with guaguanco percussion... since I am relocating... it is in my main pc in storage. Maybe I will get it one day out and put it out... the music was completed but had problem (since I am not a singer) singing lyrics added... laziness and lack of talent along with never satisfied with the end result stopped me from finishing... It was of course a man lamenting deeply the loss of the love of his life and then when finished... I lost my daughter and I tried to change the lyrics and I did... my son heard me singing and thought I was crying. The music as I recorded it has done so much to my psyche but I didn't saw the loss of my daughter coming and all the new lyrics produced by her loss... I will never be satisfied with her loss or with the writing produced by her loss. Well, I think I got writing to do... Until next one and Thanks for your Contributions.
Iām pleased you enjoy my contributions...I put a lot of thought into what I post, and hope it will be of interest to others.
Preferred the first , too noisy the second.
Different versions for different listening moods! I love both.
@Marionville I rarely would enter the second. Maybe because I neither do drugs nor do I do alcohol. I get most high in silent woodland.
@rogerbenham Why would you need to do drugs to enjoy the second one? I have never done so...and only drink very moderately....and incidentally neither do the three band members of a-ha...they are the farthest thing from junkies you could imagine, they are just great musicians
@Marionville I liked the days when the timpani beat three times after 640 bars rest then waited another 200. I am not a fan of all this drumming.
