We worried when she married Cliff Richard. Was it purely for appearances? Were they both gay? Was it a case of the Gay of Khartoum limerick?
@rogerbenham Olivia never married Cliff Richard…whatever gave you that idea! She was engaged at one time to Bruce Welch of The Shadows..Cliff’s backing group, he is supposed to have taken her breaking it off very badly and attempted suicide. She wasn’t gay, of course Cliff is, although has never publicly admitted it. She had a number of partners over the years and married twice, the first time in 1984 and had her daughter in 1986. She married again in 2008.
@Marionville I stand corrected. I thought that at one time they were very much an item of convenience.

@rogerbenham Roger…it’s a spoof! They were never married, but remained close friends until her death. Cliff Richard was an item with British tennis star Sue Barker in the late 70s…but apparently he got cold feet and she married someone else.
@Marionville Yes, I realised that this was a spoof. I often wondered if he used her as a cover for his being gay. All of those screaming girls at the bachelor boy.
