What do you expect when it is state that more than 50% of Tasmanians are functionally illiterate?
I know similar happens here in the states from personal experience as a child.
I struggle to understand how any democratically elected legislature could appoint anybody who makes such egregious decisions about hiring and firing.
Bureucracy (sp?) is to blame for some of it, the rest is probably just down to not caring.
@Theresa_N I am tempted to post the following job advertisement:
"A new youth detention facility is about to be opened in the south of this fine state of ours. We are looking suitably unqualified staff, and only convicted rapists need apply."
