I was told the other day that in order to transfer, buy or sell real estate in Victoria you have to have digital ID. The informant was an 84 yo trustee of his brother's estate having to sell his house in order to deposit 500k with the olp people's institution trying to kill his brother off. The local hospital after 19 months incarceration had failed. If he doesnt deposit the money a $5000 per month surcharge is & has been imposed.
Obtaining his ID required 3 visits to the police station to have documents witnessed plus 2 visits to the post office
