Hello Aussie sceptics! I am an American (don't hold that against me please). I have always had a love and mild infatuation for your home. I have never been able to visit but it is on my bucket list. I'll be over here, in the corner if you want to say hello.
Well make some friends here and we will probably be able to provide some free accommodation here and there. Or at least tell you where to go. hahaha
that sounds awesome! Thank you.
G'day Don and welcome to the group. What makes you a sceptic?
I like to know and I hate sounding dumb. So I research things, even little things that probably don't matter. I find it's better to be an accurate know-it-all than one who is full of it.
Welcome to the land "Down Under." You may have a fuck wit for a president but at least you haven't had 7 in 11 years! If you come over here pop in and say hello and we'll crack open a cold one (beer not a corpse) and throw a few snags on the barbie for you.
The thing is, in Australia you don't generally have to explain your views to anyone else. I've lived in Australia for 45 years and the number of times anyone has asked me what I do or don't believe could be counted on the fingers of one hand. (Well, OK, maybe the thumb as well.) It really would be regarded as very intrusive to ask. Anyway, I have no problem with you sitting in on the group, as long as you eventually do come here. Hopefully you will leave with more than a mild infatuation (although our present federal government is somewhat on the nose and hopefully will be gone before you get here).
Amen to that and pass the amunition.
Too busy passing judgement on you to ascertain the truth or merely totally narcissistic Australians who are not interested?
Honestly, it is only a mild infatuation because I've never been. I'm worried I'll miss my flight home.
@ponderingatheist Don't worry, our border force will make sure you leave.
